¿Trabajo y escuela? Se siente como casa.

Posted on

I was feeling a little under the weather yesterday, literally. Torrential rain in this region all day and all night. I also have either a little cold or I’m allergic to something in my hotel. I’ll figure it out tomorrow when I pack up and head to my host family.

Xela skies

Anyway, despite the inclement weather, I managed to sign up for a week of classes at Celas Maya and also wade into work. I’m really excited by both. I decided to stay with a host family the first week and make sure I partake in every extracurricular activity because I probably won’t be able to once my work project really gets going. At work, I’m pretty much through all the photo archives and next week I’m going to storyboard the calendar layout in Spanish.

Today, I’ll take a break from school and work and maybe brave the Fuentes Georginas, if the weather calms down.

Más luego…

    1. Wouldn´t this blogging thing have been great in 1988 when I was tramping around Europe for six months? I probably still wouldn´t have blogged from Turkey until I was back safely in Greece.

  1. $11 A NITE, I COULD PROBABLY GET $15 FROM YOU WHEN U STAY OVER. HOPE U R FEELING BETTER, ENJOYING THE NOTES EACH DAY. DON’T TRUST THE CLOWNS. BY THE WAY A CHIPOLINI IS AN ONION. LOOK FORWARD TO TOMORROW

    1. I´d pay $17! And at least the shower is hot at your house and there´s no electric current running through the faucet when I turn off the water! They were definitely some kind of onion, like the green part of a scallion more than a yellow onion.
